We are proud to present to you our brand new ai4society.ca website.

The Forum, with members profiles, course repository, events calendar and news/opportunities postings, has migrated and is still accessible through forum.ai4society.ca.

Students can now join AI4Society

We are connected with several student groups​ on campus interested in AI and we are currently adding students to our network of AI4Society members.
We offer students:
- Support for student-led initiatives
- Information about projects, events, and internships
- A profile on our website
- Opportunity to connect with researchers

Interested students can send an email with a brief description of their current involvement with artificial intelligence research or activities to ai4s@ualberta.ca.

Artificial Intelligence for Information Accessibility Conference (AI4IA)

The UNESCO Information for All Programme (IFAP) Working Group on Information Accessibility (WGIA), is hosting an online one-day conference on September 28, 2020 beginning at 09h00 Mountain Time. The theme of the conference will be Artificial Intelligence for Information Accessibility (AI4IA). The conference is being organized to commemorate the International Day for Universal Access to Information (IDUAI) 2020 and it is hosted in collaboration with the Kule Institute for Advanced Studies (KIAS) and the AI for Society (AI4S), and the International Center for Information Ethics (ICIE), under the auspices of the UNESCO Caribbean Office and the UNESCO Regional Office for Southern Africa.

Webinar: Collaboration with Edmonton Police Services

The University of Alberta Vice-President Research and Innovation office is holding a discussion on research collaboration opportunities with Edmonton Police Services. Any researcher interested in potentially collaborating with EPS can attend a webinar on October 2nd from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm to learn more about the opportunity.
