Project Overview

This proposal outlines our request to incorporate AI4Society into our modest research project. The project is structured as an honours research project between Dr. Jared Wesley and Michael Griffiths, with the collaboration of Dr. Lianne Lefsrud and one of her graduate students. We are looking to weave AI into the project to improve the project’s capability and minimize researcher bias. We believe that, not only can we enhance this project using AI, but also that we can develop a framework and software that can be used by future researchers. We are seeking support from AI4Society to greatly enhance our own project and build a foundation for future research, including the eventual submission of a SSHRC Insight Development Grant to study political communication in Western Canada and the Western United States.
