AI Global is a non-profit dedicated to advancing the responsible use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) through the development of practical tools that support business, researchers, government, civil society, and academia. Founded in 2017 by business and technology experts, AI Global is dedicated to bringing a diverse group of subject matter experts together to address regulatory and governance challenges facing the responsible implementation of AI. One of AI Global’s key initiatives is working with its partners on the creation of a Responsible AI certification mark (“the Check”) for consumers both in business and society to have more trust and confidence in the AI products, tools, and services they are using. Based on a robust and measurable AI Trust Index, the Check is continuously aligned with principles, best practices, and standards for responsible design, implementation, and use of AI. AI Global seeks to partner with University of Alberta on these initiatives as this work references, supports, and helps to advance related University of Alberta’s activities.
