Project Overview

What do we say about COVID-19 and how is this viewed? As we anticipate a second wave of the pandemic the social license for ongoing regulation is clearly at risk, especially among youth. Communications strategies have proven important in convincing Canadians to change their behavior. As we stay isolated for months, social media is also becoming a site for discussion and skepticism of regulations. Viral Views will adapt digital humanities methods to studying public discourse around the pandemic, returning visualizations to the public for reflecting on our discourse.
