Geoffrey Rockwell, PhD, Professor of Philosophy and Digital Humanities; Director of the Kule Institute for Advanced Study and Associate Director of AI for Society, all at the University of Alberta. He publishes on textual visualization and analysis, and on computing in the humanities including a co-authored book Hermeneutica from MIT Press (2016). He is co-developer of Voyant Tools, an award winning suite of text analysis tools used by over a 100,000 unique users a month. He leads the TAPoR project (Text Analysis Portal for Research) that created a text tool portal for researchers working with electronic texts. He is also the President of the Canadian Society for Digital Humanities (CSDH-SCHN).
